Who are you lying to?

Fri, 12/08/2017 - 17:00 -- Addysen

As the words fall from your lips,

As you crave another kiss,

Who are you lying to?

Because I know what you are saying can't be true.

It takes more than a few days for love to grow past the kindling stage.

You are preaching about these bright flames I am unsure I can see,

How can that be? Are you seeping honesty?

Too many years of bad habits has left me with little to keep safe,

So do not be upset when I keep telling you to wait.

Render me helpless with your gaze.

Who are you lying to?

Are you aware I am not a tool?

You can not work me as you please.

I could take your jacket, but I rather freeze.

When you say I'm your queeen and it has yet to be a week,

Who are you lying to?

Im skeptical, I already told you.

I'm sure you understand where I'm coming from.

Familar with the stings of broken dreams.

Is that why we were originally drawn to each other?

I can't find the right color.

Something sad, sweet, but liberating and electrifying.

My spirit is rising.

I'm still denying that you tell the truth.

Who are you lying to?
