Who Is Behind The Curtain

Sat, 11/21/2015 - 12:01 -- Lexilou

Behind the curtain, I remove my mask feeling hopeless, hurt, and my pride destroyed. Tired of pretending that I am happy by joking around and making people laugh. Nobody really knows how I am really feeling, emotions are going in different directions. Putting your trust in your friends, when they have the chance they stab you in the back.Tell me to my face and be honest don't make excuses that doesn't work with me.Behind the curtain.... I can do a lot of soul searching and take care of what I need to do for myself Instead of being taken advantage of with my good nature, just because I have a car I might have many friends and socialize a lot too, but who is that true friend I can trust? Trust is not a given it needs to be earned; unfortunately learning the hard way I admit Behind the curtain.... I can sing my praise, knowing deep inside I have a loving, caring and giving heart Displaying positive messages can help me through, self-confidence I will be there soon. I am going to walk with my head held up high I know I can do this, believe in myself. Soon I will take back my control, filled with self-esteem then you will hear me say... In front of the curtain... I will be true to myself in front of the curtain.
