Who Could Imagine
Experimenting with sticks and stones,
Jumping so high and hard it could have broke our bones,
Life was fun and easy with all the jokes and teasing,
Endless nights playing with mindless cheesing,
Games that had no objection but were so exciting you’d think they did,
Streetlights didn’t faze us but that old voice that squeaked out the window did,
She was the sheriff of her cabin,
Once we heard that voice it was no blabbing,
Maw Maw was her name and everybody knew the Queen of the town,
The loved she shared could have lit up a whole world,
Living with her was like paradise,
She made my childhood the best,
In a matter of time summer had to finally end,
It was time to face reality once again and get reassigned to work,
But I would again return to the palace another time.
