Who Do I Run To?

Who do I run to?

When the pain is nipping at the edge of my heels
Burning calf muscles, I just hope the legs heal
Nonstop hustle, I just run the treadmill
for way too long, to keep from standing still
for way too long...

But who do I run to?

When I'm way too strong to be weak, no details
but I run from problems that I made with a female
This is the cost of her pain at a retail price
the attention I never paid in hindsight's light
is blinding me

But who do I run to?

When it's harder to breathe and I feel it in my chest
Heart's out of beat and I'm falling out of step,
falling in step with the stress,
because it's getting hard for me to keep up the speed
When all that I've run from is nearing my rear, catching up to me

who do I run to?
