For Who Else Could Be My Mentor

My God, My God

For who else has sculpted by very being?

You blew the breath of life into my soul

and bestow the gift of life every morning I wake.

From the gift of your Son,

You taught me sacrifice.

From the creation of animals,

You taugh me to respect life, from the smallest ant to the towering elephant.

Through the gift of my parents,

You showed me the definition of true love.

You hold the key to life,

and You have made my heart the lock.

Open me I pray.
