Who I am

Who am I?

I look at the short hair on my head,

I had cut it because I didn't care what anyone said.

Who am I?

I look at my eyelashes,

They're long and droopy

I look sad and sleepy all the time

But they have no mascara because I never have time.

Who am I?

I look at my big, brown eyes,

They look almost black

As if you could get lost in my soul.

Who am I?

I look at the tie dye shirt I have on,

There's something about wearing something I made

The way I stand out

The way the colors swirl in harmony,

It's as if they're meant to be.

Who am I?

I look at my tan skin,

My race has never defined me.

Who am I?

I look at my blue jeans,

The second-hand ones that fit perfectly

The ones that match with anything that I am wearing.

Who am I?

I look at the cool sneakers on my feet,

My pride, I have put in my soles

The socks underneath

They're part of my collection,

They're something that nobody ever sees.

Who am I?

I look at myself, I fill my shoes and my clothes perfectly.

I am the one I have made myself to be

I am who I am when everyone is looking

I am who I am when I am alone

I am positivity embodied in a soul

I am what I wear

I am what you see

I am everything that I want to be.
