Who I am

I am a child of divorce

I know the disassemblement of their marriage was for best

But that didn't stop me from crying until I was hoarse

I was sad at first almost diagnosed as depressed

It was the end of an era

I was still in denial

But, my mother and father were no longer together

Almost as if they had never walked down the aisle
