Who I am.
I am who I am.
Not who they want me to be.
I am the future,
Not the forsaken past.
I am all I can be.
I'm a student, daughter, sibling, and Christian.
I'm not perfect, I'm not a god.
I am mistake prone, but I'm only human.
I choose to learn from mistakes, instead of run from them.
I am not what mean things people say, I'm better than words.
I am dependable, a natural leader, and caring.
I am respectable, honest, sympathetic, but not foolish.
I am much stronger than before, I know my worth.
I am different, And that's what makes me who I am.
I know morals and I have self control.
I am often overlooked and misjudged, but that's okay.
I am just fine with being me.
I am not the clothes on my back, nor the color of my skin, but I am who I am.
I am still young, I have a lot to learn.
I'm willing, ready, and able to learn.
I'm not one who hides from the dark, I embrace it and shine a light.
I'm not one to cause a scene, but I won't be walked upon.
They've taken my smile and knocked me down, but I'm made to feel alive.
I don't know where I've gone wrong, and I don't know where I'm coming from.
All that I know is I got to keep moving on.
That's just a taste of what makes me...me.
