WHO I AM

A daughter, only child. Strong willed, rarely mild. Talk the talk. Sometimes don't walk the walk Hold my own when in a rant. But truly disappoint them, I shan't. That's the daughter who I am. A friend, true to the end. I'll not steal your cute boyfriend. Sometimes I even put you first. Despite it's my bubble that will burst. Count on me in times of trouble. I'll come along on the double. That's the friend who I am. A skier, a boarder, a deep-sea diver. A traveler, a baker, a four-wheel driver. A shopper, a gamer, a movie watcher. This is me, it's who I am. A rower, strong and swift. Steady at stroke, it's my gift. In a four- or an eight-man shell. A tough sport at which I excel. It came along in a time of strife. Can't imagine it not part of my life. That's the rower who I am. A dreamer, of far off places. Big cities, not wide-open spaces. London, New York or Paris, France. Living there, my heart would dance. The City of Light is my desire. A home on a "rue" I hope to acquire. That's the dreamer who I am. A steadfast student, a motivated learner. A lover of animals, an adventure seeker. A dedicated reader, a critical thinker. This is me, it’s who I am. Soon an adult, striving for a better place. I plan to do more than just take up space. Contentions in the world enough. We must come together so it’s not so rough. I’ll work towards a worldwide community. One that exists in harmonious unity. That’s the me I promise to be.
