Who I am

I started out as a young, innocent girl,

One who loved pink and clothes with frills.

But life has away of changing without asking,

And taking away your innocence with cruelty and judgement casting.

Some people walk into your life and at first seem great,

however sometimes you find yourself discovering that trusting them was a mistake.

As you grow older you realize life is an up hill battle.

You can choose to overcome such difficulties.

or you can become a victum of your own sympathies.

My life has been difficult, filled with abuse and toil-

Still, I refuse to let myself be beaten, and my dreams spoiled.

Someday I'll stand at the top of my hill,

and look down at everyone who said I'd fail,

laughing and smiling, knowing I'm stronger now,

and once again set sail on my next adventure.
