WHO I AM!
I am smart
I am beautiful
My mind is deep
Don't be fooled by the color that covers me
These deep brown eyes and silk skin
More than a beauty prize
Beyond your wildest imagination
My self worth is IMPORTANT
To know my self worth
Is to know my ability to conquer the world
Sharing with other women to help them rise
Afro big and makeup loud
Oh Yes I AM proud!
To be who I am
Speak how I speak
Exposing who I am, I am a true woman
My heart speaks deeply
Take this journey and you will meet
A stone cold "sista" who is nothing but unique
Look at me and viciously judge
Shockingly you will be surprised
Stand tall, and watch my fellow women rise
My beauty emerges from beneath
Come and find
The mother, daughter, and friend in me
