Who I Am

Not the average beauty queen you see on call 24/7 Not exactly a devil, but far from being an angel from heaven Product of a troubled woman and a homosexual man This is who I am. Proclaim myself to be a social outcast even when I'm in the crowd Try to keep it cool while everyone else is running wild No matter what I do, some people still don't understand This is who I am. I've been hurt and abandoned, neglected and abused I've been mistreated many times and played for a fool Always fallen prey to the traps of man This is who I am. Learned to love myself, but I'm still dealing with issues Appear to have it all together, but my insides are softer than tissue Sometimes I find myself not really giving a damn This is who I am. An Aries who's compassionate to herself and others Willing to share my love with the world, especially my brothers America is my home, but Africa is my motherland This is who I am. Constantly searching for the God I know lives in me Constanly reshaping the woman that is Bre' I'm not a perfect person, but I do the best that I can This is who I am!!
