Who I Really Am

You see that lonely girl

In the corner of the room

Sitting and staring

Humming her own tune

That’s me

You see that awkward girl

Third-wheeling a third-wheeler

Wishing her friend would

Take her away from here

That’s me

Oh, I’m not that hard to describe

I’m actually a really simple child

You see that tongue-tied girl

Comforting a sad friend

Not sure what to say

‘Cause they’re already upset

That’s me

You all know that girl

Who stresses about her grades

Downplays herself too much

But ends up with straight A’s

I’m sorry if I seem

So complicated

I’ve got so much to say

If you begin to listen.
