Who I Was, Who I Am

I am

Not the person I thought I'd be

I look in the mirror and question what I see

Because I used to think I would never be much

That no matter what I do it'd never be enough

I used to be bound by the chains of stress

And if I'm being honest, my life was a mess

Now every morning, I ask myself why

I'm not the person I thought I'd to be

Because, like a bird in the sky,

I am happy and free
