Who knew?

Who knew

It would be the last time calling him “babe”?

Who knew

It would be the last time holding his hand?

Who knew

It would end today?

Who knew

It would be the last time I kissed him?

We kissed for the last time,

We both leaned in,

Grabbed each others faces,

Closed our eyes as we got closer.

Tears running down our faces,

Our lips touched,

We cried even harder.

You could taste the sadness in the tears that met at our lips.

I pulled away scared;

Scared that if I didn’t,

I’d go back to him.

I lost my everything.

He was my best friend,

My world.

Now i feel empty,

Lifeless.

Who knew

It would come to this?
