Who Knows

How do you ever find truth in a mirage of lies?

Can you?

Is it possible?

Trust is--

Something I’ve long forgotten

But you say you can instill it in  me once again?

Rather a conceited notion isn’t it?

How do you gain back something

Which has truly been lost?

Can something be truly lost?

How can you be lost if you never knew where you were going in the first place?

Or what you had if you never knew its value?

Rather ironic isn’t it?

If we are to learn from our past

But never knew who we were before

How do we move forward?

Do we learn?

Or have we already learned

In a mirage of lies

They are truths

You’ve been told.

How do you know what to believe?

How do you know?

How do you know?

I don’t know.

Or do I?

Did I forget?

But can I forget something that might not have been there in the first place?

Do you know?

Are we lost?

Are we misguided?

Or simply choosing to be oblivious?

How do we know?

Who is to say?

Can you tell me?

Can you tell me?

TELL ME!!

I hear them.

Constantly pestering.

Pssssstttttt

Pssssstttttttttttttttttttt

I can’t focus

It’s a constant buzzing

A simple beep in the other

I don’t know

Its an interesting notion
