Who knows

I don’t know much about love
But heres what I do know
It hides in the cracks of your sofa
And in the icky place where dust collects on a ceiling fan
Its in the hard to reach place at the back of your fridge
And in your clogged shower drain
 Its a nuisance
 Its not something you earn
 Or something you deserve
 Its not something you get
 Its not a package deal
Its not something that can be forced
 Or bought
Its not something that can be won
 Its often hard to find
But hiding right in front of your face
It not good at all at coming out of your clothes
 Its something you live for
 Something you’d die for
 It develops
 It expands
 It strengthens
 It smells good
 And sometimes its lost
Im not sure what love is
If its a feeling or an action
 A thought or a belief
 A noun or a verb
 An adjective
 Who knows
None of that could be right
But what I do know is that I’ll try to understand it
 Because I love you
