Who Needs a Prince
Woo is me.
A damsel in distress.
Beauty if only anyone could see.
They see the beauty on the outside.
What about the inside?
I'm filled with kindness,
with patience,
with love,
and with courage.
I am brave.
I am smart.
Why, oh why, does everyone think I need a prince?
I am capable of using my brain to figure out how to save myself.
I am brave enough to conquer anything.
I have enough courage to do the unthinkable.
I have enough love to love even the meanest.
I have enough patience to achieve what I set on doing.
I have enough kindness to affect others.
So why do I need a prince?
Is it simply for the "They lived happily ever after?"
Is it for the false reality that marriage is easy.
Truth is, I can save myself.
Truth is, life isn't always "happily ever after."
Truth is, marriage isn't that easy.
So why do I need a prince?
