Who Really Rules the School

They’re the Lords and Ladies of school,

The Gods and Goddesses if you will.

Homecoming Kings and Queens.

Team captains of every game,

Poseidon, Aphrodite, Athena, and Persephone are their names.

They’re the ones with all the likes,

The particular perks of being popular.

While, in comparison, we play like paupers.

Aphrodite is the fairest of them all,

With long blond hair she stands tall.

Athena’s the brain, straight A’s are her game.

Poseidon’s the lead swimmer;

In lap competitions he’s always the winner.

Then there’s Persephone.

Few know it, but she watches horror movies with particular glee.

They are the Kings and Queens of school,

Coming out on top of every social dual.

They’re the kids you wish you could be.

But,

between you and I,

I’m much happier simply being me.
