Water from the gourds
Upon her face
Rocks tumble
Beneath her feet
As she walks along the Nile
She pants
From the heat of the sun
As it beams upon her skin
Why
She is on the motherland
Where she came from
Who is she
She is
AFRICAN AMERICAN !
