Who Is She?

She sees me but doesn't hear me

I say I love you and she says it back

Does she mean it

I can't tell anymore

I don't know the person I see

When I look in the mirror all eyes are on me

I close my eyes to see the person that I want to be

And open them to find that I cannot be me

I cannot be the student who goes to school and makes straight As

I cannot be the child who doesn't yearn for her parents approaval

I cannot be the person with no fears

Icannot be the girl they want me to be

But I can also not be

ME!
