Who She Truly Is

If I ask her if she’s smart,

She would humbly reply, I like to think so.

She doesn’t flaunt what she has, although

What she has is a great heart,

A great heart that cares for all

She loves closely and deeply.

What she does is done sweetly

And never intended to bring any downfall.

Would she call herself stunning?

I wouldn’t call her anything less,

For her kindness and knowledge coalesce

Into a being that’s loving and shining.

Although her skills may lack tact

At times, and her introvert spirit

Imposes upon her a limit,

Those who have this friend feel a favorable impact.

I’ve heard the rumors, the labels,

Of misinterpreting her shyness as snobby.

Her quiet and reserved nature is anything but gaudy,

And coupled with her honesty, she turns the tables.

I have to stop myself from going on and on

Of all her struggles and accomplishments.

It isn’t that she lacks or has overconfidence,

But what she has balances where her personality is set upon.
