Who Shot Ya?

Land of the free, home of the brave....what a contradictory statement

It’s crazy because that phrase has done nothing but fill graves with my people..

That phrase has drove me to despise every white person I see, exposing the vast majority for who they truly want to be...superior than the

You claim we’re free but, you really not fucking with me

I’m angry as you can see

That’s a way I strive not to be, and I pray that the most high takes that feeling away from me

You built a system that was not designed for me

Before we could even thrive, you executed us...and now you want sympathy?

Nah playa, see that ain’t good enough for me

Imma need reparations...immediately

Eric Garner, Tamir Rice, Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Jemele Roberson, EJ Bradford....the list multiples by the day

And it really blows me how you would think this is okay

Of course you wouldn’t have anything to say, you’ll just sweep it under the rug like a used bandaid.

But when I retaliate I’m wrong

What you really want is for me to continue to sing we shall overcome, I’m done with that though

I’ll never be free in a world in which it created something that was constructed for me to fail....

So I’m yelling dismantle the system, until my brothers and sisters make bail...
