WHO WE ARE!

We are young and sometimes misunderstood. Who knows our minds and takes the time to be who we are and do what we do. Lecture after lecture becomes empty words to a mind set on path of destruction. Use the wisdom you've been granted to be a leader, stand out, stand strong, even if you stand alone. Be known for having courage. Reach inside for who you are. Explore your surroundings. Get involved. Don't fear education. Embrass it. Make it one with your soul. It's the key to your future goals. Be the one to make a difference. Step forward. Speak boldy. Be heard! LOVE WHO YOU ARE!

This is a very inspiring poem. I think it will make an incredible story if you rewrote it from the perspective of an individual who is learning these lessons. "WHO WE ARE!" was a little hard to comprehend at first because your second sentence begins with "who" which is normally ended with a question mark. This common writing blunder fools the reader in to beginning the sentence as a question and ending it as a statement? <-- See what I mean? Moving forward, the reader now thinks he or she must be on the look out for other blunders and it takes away from the message. I recommend reading your poetry a day or two after writing it. That way, you will be aware of these common writing mistakes. Great poem, though. Keep writing! :)
