Who we are

We can’t blame society, 

because we are society.

A quote so powerfully said. 

Defining all of our lives 

as we blind ourselves to the 

impacts we have on one other.

Pretending we ignore the hate 

but in reality we can all relate.  

These words are not just words,

they mean something

and effect us all in different ways. 

We close out the people we say are weird, 

dumb, alone, and pathetic. 

All we do is put them in silence. 

We let a live be lost or threatened 

before their words are heard. 

Why we feel the need to tear people down 

is just so absurd. 

We are all human 

and live on the same planet. 

We are all different in our ways 

and theres no damn problem with it. 

We must not wait, 

now is the time,

to make a difference 

in everyones lives. 

Who you may have been 

isn’t who you have to be. 

It’s never to late to make a change,

Because all our goals are not out of range. 

Take a step forward 

and be the difference. 

Accepting others as they chose to be 

and moving forward, all living free.
