Who? What? When? Where? Why?

Who?

sometimes

i wish

i could hate

You

and I could act as if all

You

ever did

was bad

and then i harken back to

the pain

your father

inflicted on

You

and how

You

felt all these things

about him

and the fact that

he was your

who

and

his father

was his

creating a cycle

of broken kings

wearing

a crown of thorns

sewn into

our scalps

and a robe

of weights

embedded in

our skin

I wonder who

started the cycle

and

if i

can break it

did

You

try?

What?

is it the dress

you picture

Me

wearing?

or

is it the makeup

I

will apply

after?

Or

is it the fucking gorgeous

six inch heels

that will be placed upon

My

feet?

what is it?

what part of it

disgusts you the most?

When?

I

was trying to remember

when

I

began to resent

you

but

I

can’t find

those memories

they seem to belong to

someone else

a different person

who lived

those experiences

and

I

just learned

to feel

those same things

I

wish

so desperately

that

I

could remember

so

I

can begin

to heal

Where?

where were

You

when

You

first noticed

I

wasn’t a man?

did

You

notice and

ignore it?

or

did it hit

You?

like a train

like a landmine

like a punch

like it did

when

You

told

Me

Why?

there’s so much more

I

want to ask

You

but

I

Will have to settle for

Why?
