Who, What, When, Where, Why, How?
Who?
What?
When?
Where?
Why?
How?
Who am I to you?
A statistic on a pie chart.
Someone that you never knew.
My poetry is a work of art.
What am I to you?
A proud African American Woman.
Something that you spit out but don’t chew.
A minority because I have brown skin, that’s different from you.
When did this all come to be?
Hatred, Police Brutality, Terrorist Attack.
Look around and we’re still not free.
Why don’t we just cut each other some slack?
Where do we go from here?
Forward or back.
Forget everything that we hold dear?
Or keep on with the shooting attacks.
Why am I the only one who cares?
Hatred, Police Brutality, Immoral Gun Laws.
There’s no progress anywhere.
I guess the world can’t see its flaws.
How do we change the world for the better?
I don’t know but I’d sure like to try.
We can only make it better for each other.
Just you and I.
Who?
What?
When?
Where?
Why?
How?
