To Whoever Feels The Way I Do:
To Whoever Feels The Way I Do:
Sometimes I wonder what I would be like
if my sister hadn’t died.
And I miss that person I never knew.
But then I get out of the shower
and the magic spell breaks.
You can’t miss someone you’ve never met.
So I move on with my life.
At least I try.
But that’s nearly impossible and yet the burden is still there:
You can’t cry,
you’ve got shit to do.
You can’t ask for a break.
You have expectations to live up to
that were set before this all happened
and welcome to your life,
no one is going to slow down
just because you can’t catch up.
Because that’s the real world.
And in the real world,
people who can’t get their shit together get dropped.
There will always be someone more willing to do what you’re doing,
but without all the emotional baggage.
So cut your loss early,
get a subscription to Netflix
and never leave your bed.
Now you get it.
This is what I’m fighting.
I wish I could sign with love,
but I can’t seem to do that anymore.
So I sign as this:
- someone who still fights
