To Whom it May Concern
To whom it may concern,
My soul is on fire
With no way to ease the burn.
My mind is a liar
With no way to learn.
The truth of it all,
I will not accept it.
Hoping he will call,
Until reality hits.
I saw my blinders fall.
He was holding me back
From being myself.
My soul was under attack
By a boy put on too high a shelf.
I need to fight back.
Away I went,
Without a word to say.
For his words of discontent
Might have made me stay.
I then began to reinvent.
I have now found me
And learned self-love,
Which can be
Accredited to the One up above,
Who persuaded me to leave the holder of all my false glee.
