To Whom It May Concern

To Whom It May Concern:

Hi.

You may not know me,

But I know you.

I know how you stick your nose

Into other people’s business

Until you smell the faintest stink.

You take their mess and

Cram it down our throats,

Gagging us with the taste and stench

Of their mistakes.

Yes.

I see you,

But I am invisible.

I see how you steal ideas,

Clutching thoughts in your greedy palms,

Strangling originality to dust.

You stomp on the creators

With your mighty boot,

Playing an almighty god

With their lives.

No.

I don’t fear you.

Though you fear me now.

I am the voice that will haunt you

While you rot in a cell

Surrounded by the echoes of your faults.

I am Me Too and No and Stop.

They gave me a flashlight

To shine a light on the exposed path

of your lies.

So,

I know you,

And you know me.

You are the one

Who steals, grabs, forces, and crushes

Creativity and light and goodness.

I am the one

Whose voice silenced you,

Whose light blinded you

with their spirit.

Sincerely,

Me
