To whom it may concern

Dear former lover, You showed me what it meant to feel wanted, to feel special, to feel loved by someone. You told me that I was going to be stuck with you forever, even if things didn't work out. But know that we didn't work out, does this still apply?? The real pain comes from within, the thought of knowing that I could never blame you for any of this. I want you to be happy, so I blame myself. I blame myself for the time we never met up, my intentions were never to hurt you, yet I still did. I never wanted us to part, yet we still did. Looking back I believe that there was truth to your feelings for me. There was truth for when you said “I love you”, yet there was also truth for when I said “I’m not good enough for you”. I knew from the start we wouldn't have what we both needed, yet I still invested myself in you. I put my whole life into you and for what, to be treated like nothing? To be just another person who you curved? To be someone you abandoned without any answer as to why? To be someone you left faster than I fell for you? No. I put my whole life in you because I trusted you. I would dream of us becoming something more than phone friends, dream of us together living wild and free. But not all dreams are meant to be lived out, they stay hidden away, never to see the light of day. But hey, you brought the best out of me, you helped me become someone, yet you’ll never get to see the “better me”. Maybe I didn't really like you, it was just the thought of someone actually wanting me and being there for me. It's not that I hate you, I just don't see anything in you anymore. Your secrets are safe with me, I'll never tell anyone. Just know, I'm not trying to play the victim here, I messed up I'll admit, but people make mistakes. And when we mess up in life, the best thing to do is build a bride and get over it, just like I'm doing with you. Sincerely, Matthew Sanchez
