Whos in control
Disaster strikes the day
Leaving the smell of defeat
Two side sword battle for control
Deep inside of me
One side stands its ground
In truth, freedom, and happiness
It takes its stance
And faces its opponent
The other side takes a chance
In lies, chains, and depression
It takes its stance
And faces its opponent
They face each other
But neither moves
They don’t really want to fight
But what else can they do
One cannot remain in control
While the other sits back
They know their fate
And embrace it with deep regret
Happiness takes aim
And raises his sword
Knowing he must defeat his brother
To control of the host
Depression sets in
Realizing there is no other way
Grabs his sword and raises his gaze
Embracing what he must now face
Two brothers fight to the death
For everlasting control of the human host
Destiny no longer favors these two
As the swords begin to clash
Who will win?
Who will die?
They both share a look in their eye
Of joy for the taking of life
Happiness strikes
And Depression defends
Happiness falls
As Depression kicks
The fight continues day and night
While they both try to stay alive
The host just stands by watching
To see who the final master will be.
I am the host and nothing more
They fight within each day
They shall continue
Until all slain
We remain together
Throughout our lives
We need each other to balance out
And create the whole
