Who's There?

*Ding-dong My mind is racing, I can't stop pacing. Who is there, at my door? Spitting, stuttering, slowly I fall to the floor *Ding-dong It's hard to think, Head in a whirl. Eyes fade and sink, Objects around me start to swirl. *Knock-Knock Who's there, I say? I try to stare, the door fades away. I thought I was thinking, it all turned black. I recalled old, lost memories, then I came back. *Knock-Knock Once again I am there all alone, Where am I, and what is the sound? Sitting by myself on the hard floor of stone. The sounds from the door echo in the ground. "Everything is gonna be alright, you'll be safe in a moment!" I know someone's there, but I don't have the strength to rise. At this point, I can no longer open my eyes. The lights go out, never to be revived. Leaves me pondering whether or not I'm still truly alive.
