Whose Dream Am I Living!

The world's on fire but not literally

there are sparks of hope everywhere

yet people keep throwing dirt on those sparks

til they turn to dust and crumble

but that's not enough

they laugh in your face and tell you to take another shot

so you take your shot, proudly

but the laughter only grows

defeat sets in

but thats not enough

you refuse to crumble

while sitting among ruins

never learning how to accept defeat

they stare, they laugh, they wonder

but they never leave the path

they dare not

because they are too small minded

you my friend are going places

don't pick up their pace

or hope to switch places

your comparisions are meaningless

why compare a soaring eagle or a creature yet to be seen

to something so bland and simple

you my friend have it in you to succeed

let the anger fuel your intentions to succeed

let the world around you light up

never fear that light

because on the other side

you'll hate to look in the rearview mirror

in fact you'll find it too cringe

that the person you once knew was scared to go

after the things you now love so deeply

for if you only listen to the voice of the ignorant

that is what you will achieve

why should someone who's small minded influence who and what you become

laugh, cry, dance

just get back up

why not make the impossible beome a living dream.
