Why?

Elation and delight fill the body Confidence like a pungent fragrance Alerting all those around Suddenly, The spider carrying doubt and fear arrives Biting that same body Spreading its toxic venom of lies Ugly Hideous Average Fat Chunky The words go through Leaving bullet holes through fragile flesh Is that what they think? Do they say Crazy? Psycho? Annoying? Insane? Mean? Bully? BITCH? Why? I don’t understand what I have done wrong Does the golden rule no longer apply? Do I always have to be the bigger person? To apologize first? To be the only one who puts forth effort? To be the only one who cares? No, I think not.
