Why?

A question, a thought, a pen and paper ready to start yet another entry. Why, Why, Why? Why does life take an unexpected turn? Why to the people you know seem to vanish before your eyes? Why do you get attached to people so easily? Answer? Who knows? It is hard to think and question life's mysterious ways. The anger, the confusion, the hurt. One look into her eyes and it all makes sense. Don't you see? it's hard for her too. To admit to herself that all she wants is out. She's trapped in her own emotions. Yet life to her is a beautiful image of hope and peace. To her a smile could mean a lot. Too bad not everyone agrees. Why did she think everyone could be like her? In her own innocence she failed. Why did she think the people around her would care? In her own carelessness she failed. Life is all about learning and understanding betrayal and hurt. It's all about realization of what to expect. So here she goes with another pen and pencil to begin once again the story unwritten. She hopes to explain to others her complications and misunderstandings. She wants her voice to be heard among a world of chaos and confusion. Why do they fail to understand she's not like them? How many times must she repeat herself? Her voice is still and quiet but her spirit is bold and courageous. Why do they think she's naiive and needs guidance? Yes, she's pure and innocent, but maybe because to her life means so much more. Yes, it's true her eyes have a look of worry and sadness, yes her face is a mask. But inside she's ready to speak. Her smile means a lot to her, the journey is over, she's free to roam the world, to find adventure and start a new life-the way she pictures it. One step at a time, one picture after another, a new look, a new perspective, a new horizon, her eyes have shifted, no longer are they filled with sadness and questioning but of wonder and excitement. Why does life give you second chances? Who knows but to some it could mean the world.
