Why?
Why did you have that dream
Mr. Martin Luther King?
Did you know what it would bring
When you saw it in that scene?
The opportunities it shared
With white and blacks,
Nothing matters now
Not even the color on our backs
Why did you walk up the street
With no violence involved?
Did you know at all
The problems it would solve?
Going against segregation
With a good reputation
Because of that we can dwell in one congregation
With total dedication
You never gave up
Even though they wanted violence
You never made a fuss
So, Mr. Martin Luther King
Why did you have that dream?
When you saw it in that scene
Did you know it would change everything?
Something wrong with this poem?
