Why?

You act like nothing was ever there,
You act like we never were.
Why do you act this way,
Why do you generate so much hate?

The truth is something was there,
The truth is we once were.
I don’t know why you act this way,
I see that you’ve always generated hate.

I’ve moved on to better,
I’ve moved on to someone will care.
She doesn’t act that way,
She doesn’t generate hate.

She is better than you can be,
She cares about me.
We will be together,
But you and I again, never.

It was fun while it happened,
But that is not the present.
I’m happy now,
And don’t ever ask how.

I will answer with “Her,”
She is what I am happy for.
You said goodbye,
Right when she said hi.

You walked out of my life,
As she walked into the light.
Now you want me back,
I’m not ever going back.

I’m happy where I am,
I am happy when I hold her hand.
I could never say that anymore,
If I were to close this door.

If I was to go back,
Something I would lack.
My heart would be hurt
My love would be lost

You are the reason,
She is my Eden.
She was here for me,
When you would not be.
