Why
To live lives that aren't mine
To dream dreams that seem too hard
To articulate when my tongue won't cooperate
And my mind feels too slow
To explore the unknown
Both inside myself
And in the outside world
Pen on paper, skin, sidewalk, leaves
Fingers on a keyboard, in paint, touching ink
It doesn't matter how you do it
It doesn't matter why
because when you write
You can change lives
