Why?

Why do I write poetry? Its a stupid question if you ask me. I write for the people I love, for the people I hate, for the people who will listen, for the people who wont listen, for my dog, for my family, for the father I wish I had. Why do I write? Why shouldn't I? I have a voice and I can write them down. I write to write beautiful words that spin together like a web of silver. It's what i like to do, it's what I want, it's what I must do. To feel like I have a home somewhere in the words of my poems. The best home in the word.
