Why?

Why?

“Why do you treat me this way?” I ask him.

“You stay even when I am complicated,

You’re a listening ear when I’m angry,

You make me laugh when I’m sad,

You make me feel beautiful, in times when I’m not,

You never tell me that my dress is too short,

Or that you can see my bra through my white shirt,

Instead you complement me, in outfits I feel comfortable in,

You’re neither jealous nor competitive with me

Instead, you support my achievements,

You encourage me when I’m doubtful of myself,

You never judge my mistakes or label me from my past,

You let me make decisions for myself,

You trust me when I go out with my friends,

And you’re thoughtful of me when I’m not around,

You’re never selfish with your time,

In times when we argue

You have a gentle voice when we work things out,

You show that you’re proud of me,

And you never keep me hidden,

You make me feel safe when I’m around you,

You value my spontaneous ideas, and my wildest dreams,

And you respect me. You respect my body and

You respect my beliefs and what I value most.

Why?”

“Because I love you.” He answered.
