Why?

Dear The One Who Has the Answers,

Why do we laugh at things funny?

Even though we chuckle so hard it hurts our tummies,

Who can define what's actually funny?

Why do we dream when we sleep?

Witnessing alternate versions of our world,

but do you peep?

Maybe our dreams cause our sleep.

While do we smile when we're happy?

I know it brightens our soul and influences us to be better and not sappy,

but how do we know that we know what we feel makes us happy?

And why do we cling so hard to life?

We act like it's the ultimate price,

but what if death actually leads to life?

Why do we call victory upon defeat?

Our enemies too are after the meat,

but just think,

could we be our own enemy because victory in this world translates to defeat?

Have you thought, why do we strive to be respected?

We want to be superior and our integrity is neglected.

But what do we gain by impressing others?

The key to Heaven is not granted by being respected.

And why do we believe our strength is in our pain?

Yes it's a great motivator to get through the rain,

but wouldn't it make more sense that what sets us apart makes us strong and not our pain?

Seriously, why do we alow ourselves to get upset?

I know we're still human and sometimes resisting temptation is far-fetched.

But listen,

when push comes to shove is our energy worth waisting on being upset?

Why do we constantly ask why?

We try to understand everything even beyond the sky.

Maybe the truth is we're probably waisting our breath,

maybe there is no why.
