Why

Dear the man that broke my spirit,

I was only in the second grade,

Why would you think that was okay?

Touching a little girl who didn't know better,

my still faded mind is the reason behind this letter.

I still get flashbacks of that night,

completely blinded by the unfolding fright.

My life got totally twisted

even worse, there was no one to witness

all the trauma of that day.

There's a part of me that was torn away.

You told your son never to play with me again,

lonely me, he was my only friend.

To this day he still won't look me in the eye,

every once in a while I curl up and cry.

That day was the start of my anxiety

never being able to function normally in society.

I hope you're happy with what you did,

you messed up the life of a little kid.

Sincerely,

The scared little girl inside of me
