Why?

Dear Mama,

Why when I do you right, you do me wrong?

Why when I write the lyrics, you sing the song?

Why when I create the path, you hide the light?

Why when I provide the eyes, you loose the sight?

Why when I bring the rain, you bring the rust?

Why when I have faith, you mention lust?

Why when I raise the sun, you find the shade?

Why when I just show up, you walk away?

Why is what I ask and you've yet to answer.
