Why?

Dear Dad,

Why dad? You were supposed to walk me down the aisle. You were supposed to grow old with mom. Who’s going to teach my brothers to be men? Now I have to keep them from turning into you. I didn’t choose this life. You made it my own. Why did you have to leave so soon? We were supposed to dance at my wedding. You were supposed to love and hold your grandchildren. How I do I explain why you were taken so soon? Your grandchildren will never know who you were. Your youngest son will barely remember the good times. Why didn’t you turn to us instead? You've made me feel scared to fall in love. Dad, why did you choose the bottle over me? Because of you, I’ll never be the same.
