Why?

Where were you? When I needed you? I looked but I never could find you I searched and searched high and low My feelings had nobody to blame So I blamed myself Because of you Not being around. I asked myself “Who were the ones you loved, and why weren’t they me?” I wasted so much time Wanting you to be there Just to show me some affection Maybe to say you care. All this time I've been looking in a mirror, Trying to see, Compare myself to your others And wondered who the ones you loved And why weren’t they me? So many tears I cried So hurt, and broken I tried so hard to forget you But this type of pain don't go away Because I realized that I would always be the one that you didn’t love And the ones that you loved weren’t me.
