Why

WHY

Look up

Look around, Dear friend,

the answer to the question you seek is why.

Why does the sun set and rise

chasing the owl to hide from the light?

Why do leaves die to be reborn

while the old man must dig his permanent grave?

Why do we run against time

knowing that we will never see the finish?

Why do we pursue the feeling of love

when the loss of it leaves your heart less whole than before?

Why do soldiers give the ultimate sacrifice

for people who wouldn’t dare do the same?

The answer to the why

Is why not.

Why not Love

Why not Give

Why not Rise

Why not Run

Why not Die

One may never know truly why

but within the tragedy of human fate lies our opportunity.

If we are all doomed

Why not Live.
