Why?

Why?

Why does it seem like I’m the only one trying?

Is everyone just blind or something?

Do you really think this all means nothing?

This is making others fall

And hide behind a cell wall

‘America the beautiful’

Is that name even suitable?

America this, America that

This country’s actions are inexcusable

The government feeds us lies everyday

It’s like we’re kept behind a wall

It's just that. . . even i might fall

So worried about your own status and popularity,

Maybe you should get a better look at yourself in the mirror

And maybe then you’ll see the world a whole lot clearer

But what can i say to those who only hear and not listen

Is this some type of human outcast system

You only believe what you want to hear

I mean seriously, we all can agree because we all do it

But have you actually listened and asked

Why?

Why do people go by as they see others about to die?

Why?

Why don’t we all have the right to testify?

We mustn’t all think the same way

I can’t really lie because that’s nothing to deny

The human race is a messed up population

Us humans steal, cheat, kill, and do more sick things than you can imagine

While people are suffering

You know, all we do as high class people in society. . .

Is post these things on social media and not do a thing

I mean, how much more terror do we wish to bring

The world already has a lot of problems as it is

It's good enough the American government is trying to decrease and rid of our mortal lives

But why not just tell us face to face

Instead of having this country seem like a disgrace

Students and teachers of all schools

Ask each other how we can make America and the world a better place

Many say what they are wanting to do to help, instead of putting what they said into action

These solutions we create are sitting in a box and catching dust

This situation needs to re-adjust

We say we care, but then why do we just watch?

Are we looking at a wrist watch

Time is passing by and all your doing is stopping and watching

Why?

Why stand by and do nothing?

Why?

Why pretend to cry when you know there’s heart involved?

Maybe for once, we can all ask ourselves this question

The impression of this question might correct your self-expression

Respect

This word. . . i don’t even know the meaning

Respect is something we all want

Respect is a due regard for the feelings, wishes, rights, or traditions of others

According to google, of course

This is only part of what we understand about this word

We should allow ourselves to have deeper thoughts

Respect is not something you only give to those with special qualities and abilities

But also for those who have creativity and capability

That’s what makes this a possibility

The vulnerability that this country holds

Tells you that they have many stories that are still untold

And this is where we think back and ask ourselves again

Why?

Why does this country have so many lies?

Why?

Why do these lies hypnotize?

It’s truly sad how we only believe what others want us to believe

When we find out it’s all wrong

It will lead us to a trail of tears

Soon it's something we’ll all share

You gave all those who have wronged you a sharp glare

And they responded telling you your actions and words are nothing to be spared

Something is wrong with this world

We need to wake up

People are always deciding who has the problems

Deciding who will be at the very bottom

Deciding that difference should be feared

And deciding it is best not to ask questions

Then for my last draw of breath, i ask the world once more. . .

Why?
