Why
Why?
Why is it that they look at me
through their scornful eyes tainted by ignorance
through their glasses, made vague by the fog of misplaced judgement
My pleas do not reach their ears
my tears are hidden from their sight
It is not that they can not see, but that they choose not to
selective sight
they see only the me they wish to see
one they can judge
one they can discard
one they can alienate without remorse
Is that my duty to society?
Am I to be the bridge stepped upon so that others may connect to others?
If that is my fate then may i resign to it.
The why matters not.
I live not for myself
