Why am I always thirsty?

My parched mind searches far and wide,

But how far must it wander before it comes to decide

That this is its next cool glass of inspiration?

I could be traveling all over the nation

Before I find my one and only drink

That will help my gray matter think.

My mind is a sponge that fights to overcome

Its persistent demand for wanting more.

I am not a starving artist but a thirsty one.
